Who hasn't dreamed of a night under the countless desert stars?
We invite you on a new spicy adventure, as you may already be used to with adrenaline, beauty, novelty and an unforgettable atmosphere.
We land in Marrakech, at the foot of the Atlas Mountains - the gateway from the Moorish world of North Africa to the hot southern Sahara, the world's largest desert.
Get ready for an assault on all your senses as... we immerse ourselves completely in the impossible to describe atmosphere of the anthill called Medina - the old centre of Marrakech.
We are staying in a riad (residential complex - I find it hard to call it a house :)) ) with delicious Moorish architecture and, after taking a deep breath, we get ready to visit one of the most unique human furnishings on the planet: the Jemaa el-Fnaa:

Berber music, dervishes, snake tights, street food either delicious or... very unusual :) , souvenirs and lots of people, that's how we could define the atmosphere of the market that has become part of the UNESCO cultural heritage for its preservation.
We try to retire to one of the nearby rooftops after a crowd bath where we enjoy a cup of tea or Arabic coffee.
The next destination is a familiar one: the highest peak of the Atlas Mountains, the peak of Tubkal, which rises 4167 metres above the entire north of the African continent!
We devote two days to the ascent, punctuated by an overnight stay at 3200 m altitude. The conditions are friendly to high-altitude hikers and the summit tour is a sustained one, but free of technical alpine difficulties. At most the altitude itself can buzz us with its less pleasant symptoms.
The ascent of Toubkal is optional, for those who wish to stay at the refuge after the nearby hike the programme is a light one, relaxing in the unpolluted air of the Atlas Mountains.

The tour continues with the famous Dades Valley and its impressive canyon and, of course, the sand dunes of the Sahara that we have been dreaming of since we were at home!
We drive to Merzouga and board our camels for a little over an hour of traversing the sand dunes to the Berber campsite that will be our host for the night and a place to welcome the sunrise.
We'll sleep the next night right in the desert, yes!
The last highlight of the tour is probably the most adrenalized: we go rafting, of course :)))
Who knew that in the heart of the Atlas Mountains swirling rivers make their way through red rock walls!
The experience is a special one, gradual in difficulty and optional.
We say goodbye to our rafting hosts where we have slept one night and return to Marrakech for our flight home.
It is possible to replace the rafting tour with a canyoning tour, depending on the water level.

I would like to come but I have no rafting, mountain or desert experience!
It's okay, we have us :)
  • the 4-5 hour easy hike between Imlil and the refuge where we spend the night is mandatory (and scenic); the climb above the refuge is optional
  • rafting can be adrenalized or scenic and easy depending on the water level, the group structure and the river chosen (we have 4 options available). We go with the most experienced rafting operator in Morocco who has an international team of guides and are our colleagues in the International Rafting Federation. The experience is for everyone!
  • The desert trek/tours are friendly in terms of distances and travel times and the experience of a night under the open sky is unparalleled!
Note: the tour can also be done on enduro touring bikes; if you are keen and have the necessary experience contact us for details.
We are at your disposal for details either at office@outdoor-events.ro, either by whatsapp at 0722415407.
Last year was a great tour and we enjoyed it as a large group! See HERE the photos of the tour.
