The first day whisks us away from home and throws us into the heart of the Balkans

We have a full day on the road — a great opportunity to get to know your adventure companions in the minibus and get into the spirit of the tour with stories about the history of the places we pass through.  

 

The Vrbas Canyon and the town of Jajce

You'll love the Vrbas with its bends punctuated by a stop in Jajce, famous for its water mills and a wonderful spot to enjoy the famous ćevapćići!

Bihać and the River Una — we absolutely love Bosnia's second city and its people!

 

In Bihać, two days dedicated to thrilling emotions on the River Una await — one of the most impressive rivers for rafting and kayaking in Europe.

We spend two days paddling through Štrbački Buk natural park, in fantastic scenery, in rafting boats and inflatable kayaks.

Blidinje National Park and SUP on Lake Ram

Blidinje National Park is a dream, reminiscent of Norwegian fjords or the southernmost fjord in Europe, and it will make you fall hopelessly in love with Bosnia!pe care îl vizităm an de an, uite-l AICI!We round off the day in style, paddling the final kilometres on stand-up paddleboards on Lake Ram, in a landscape more reminiscent of Vietnam or the islands of Indonesia.

Cold War secrets buried at Konjic

 

Between the 50s and 80s, unknown to the locals, construction was underway here a huge nuclear shelter intended to house Tito's military command corps.

300 people could live underground for 6 months, with no contact with the surface other than by telephone.

A megalomaniacal and utterly pointless investment that today we can visit and marvel at… or not.

 

Mostar – the charm of a legendary city

 

Mostar, once a nexus of armed conflict from the Austro-Hungarian Empire through to the Bosnian Wars, is today a gift for the — shhhh — romantic in you.

We know that somewhere deep beneath that steely exterior your heart beats faster at the sight of natural stone architecture, narrow cobbled streets and picturesque corners for a morning coffee — but honestly, we won't tell a soul.

We'll enjoy a traditional Bosnian lunch and an aromatic coffee with the famous arched bridge over the Neretva before our eyes, followed by a foray into the lesser-known corners of the Prenj massif and dinner with freshly caught trout from the Neretva.

Rafting on the Neretva – the turquoise serpent of the Balkans

We dedicate a full day to rafting & kayaking on the Neretva Canyon, with its 22 km of magnificent wilderness.   For us it is a bit strange that although this is technically the easiest river of the expedition in the 15 years of rafting in Bosnia, the Neretva has won everyone's hearts every time!

We tire ourselves out on the wild slopes of the Prenj Mountains, the portion of the Dinaric Alps that locals know as the "Bosnian Alps" and which proudly dominates the turquoise snake of the Neretva River.

Final stop: Belgrade and a special tour of the city
