This is the most colorful of our expeditions with rafting, canyoning, beach and  looks like this!

 3RiversExpedition, the other Balkan river holiday happening in June, is perhaps the most complex of our expeditions.

But this time we complete the adrenaline rush with beach, sun and fun under the Venetian fortress walls!

  After the first day on the road we camp at the best rafting camp on the Tara River. Have you heard of Tara? Maybe not, but you certainly know Tara's big brother which is Grand Canyon, (Colorado River) in Arizona, USA. If the Grand Canyon is the largest canyon in the world (449 km long, maximum depth of 1800 m), Tara is second with 149 km long and maximum depth of 1300 m, but it has a major advantage: it is much closer to us! The put-in (the place where we put the rafts on the water) is only 900 km from Brasov, located in the western part of Montenegro on the slopes of the Durmitor massif, in the National Park of the same name.

Rafting Tara:

Turquoise. Crystal clear and not exactly cold. A relaxed paddling rhythm, but with waves, foam, waves, rapids, adrenaline and lots and lots of fun! And no, you don't need rafting experience and we don't even ask you to know how to swim. We even suggest you to play not only with the rafting boat but also with inflatable kayaks and paddleboards, because the river is friendly and playful! We cross the Durmitor Nature Park on the river. No roads, no paths, no people. We glide smoothly through the wilderness, with waterfalls that make our famous Bigăr a tasteless joke, a well-hidden cave and... the most adrenaline-packed 8km of the Tarei: lots of white foam, wave trains, exhilarating sections one after the other! We finish Tara rafting on the second day, preparing to meet the salty sea air. The next four days will be a "chaotic" mix :) of dazzling white sandy beaches, Cafe del Mar, a hidden cove with a terrace by the sea, lost under the ficus trees (the most chilled out place we know on the planet!), clubbing, fortresses from the Venetian occupation, a spectacular canyoning tour with waterfalls and slides, under fig trees.  

Accommodation, transport, organisation:

Evenings are spent in cool and cosy apartments by the sea. For one night we pamper you with 4-star accommodation in the deepest, most secluded part of Tara Canyon. You'll love this place...

We have hot showers and an absolutely delicious meal at the end of the Tara Rafting tours! WiFi everywhere, you can stream directly from Paradise :) Transport is by own cars and partly locally by local cars. If you want to travel from the country with our minibus we have 6 seats available at 90 euro/person.   The Rafting Tara program is for everyone, physical condition is not important. It is preferable to know how to swim (if you can't swim we will allocate you a certain place in the boat and you will enjoy the same program as everyone else). Minimum age unaccompanied is 18 years old. Minimum age accompanied... well in 2015 it was 7 years old :) You don't need visas or passports, we travel with ID only.
