Canyoning Brasov is the adventure you didn't think of when you booked your holiday at the foot of the Tâmpei!
Well, we invite you to discover the most unique way to cross from Transylvania to Muntenia, abseiling down 8-11 jumps (without water!) of the Orății stream with our guides!
The tour is perfect for hot summer days as it runs in permanent shade and requires no equipment from you other than a pair of hiking boots and hiking clothes.
We'll bring you the technical equipment, in full.
The schedule for your canyoning day is simple:
10:30 - meet you at the base of the canyon if you choose to come by car
11:00 - we climb together for 20-30 minutes loaded with history, archaeology and a bit of geomorphology
15:00 - back to the cars at the end of the lap
You can request a car transfer from Brasov, Rasnov, Bran, Moeciu or Fundata, the service costs 80 lei per person round trip.
Do I need experience for this adventure?
No!
For those of you who have never descended the vertical using canyoning or climbing equipment, the tour is a bit more adrenaline-packed, but technically it's not difficult for anyone.
Little ones are welcome from the age of 7 upwards.
It's important for your peace of mind to be comfortable with the vertical drops, even if they don't exceed 14 metres per canyon, nor are they all vertical, but rather slopes inclined at 45 to 70 degrees.
